Hox, 2020 –

HOX - Plattform für kritische Betrachtungen is an interdisciplinary and three-part publishing project with an annually changing thematic focus. The aim of the platform is to make critical reflections in the arts visible and to promote artists. It is divided into three parts: Event, Magazine and Website (planned for autumn 2023). All three parts fulfil different aspects of publishing and mediation: an annual event with readings, performances and artistic positions makes the critical reflections and different positions of various artists tangible to a live audience and offers visitors the opportunity to participate and interact. A yearly magazine transfers the artistic positions, critical reflections and interactions between the artists and the audience of the event into print and think them through further, bringing together artistic, aesthetic, analytical and scientific forms of expression through additional text and image contributions generated by a call for entries. A website as a third mediation platform, independent of space and time, brings together the contents of the event and the magazine, supplements them with audio and audiovisual contributions and thus makes them accessible to a wider audience. The project was initiated by Jakob Lienhard, Valérie Hug and Marcel Hörler.
