Hox
HOX – Platform for Critical Observations is an interdisciplinary, three-part publication project with shifting thematic focuses. The goal of the platform is to make critical reflections in the arts visible and to support artists. It is divided into three parts: a print magazine, a website, and events. Each part serves a different aspect of publishing and communication: The events, with readings, performances, and artistic positions, make the critical reflections and diverse perspectives of various artists accessible to a live audience and offer visitors the opportunity to participate. The print magazine transfers the artistic positions, critical reflections, and interactions between the artists and the audience of the events into print, expanding them further through additional text and image contributions generated by a call for submissions, bringing together artistic, aesthetic, analytical, and scholarly forms of expression. The website, as the third platform independent of space and time, brings together the content from the events and the magazine, enhances it with audio and audiovisual contributions, and makes it accessible to a wider audience. HOX is initiated and run by Valérie Hug, Jakob Lienhard and Marcel Hörler.
